Michigan Medicine New West Ann Arbor Health Center Parkland Plaza Opens Today

New location supports patient care at a site that features 27 clinic services

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan Medicine announced today it has expanded its local health care services with the relocation and reopening of the West Ann Arbor Health Center.
Located at 380 Parkland Plaza, just south of Jackson Rd., the new facility sits on 13.9 acres in Scio Township that was donated to the university in 2010. It houses 27 adult and pediatric primary and specialty care services including lab, imaging, and infusion services.
“We offer services across a patient’s lifespan, from pregnancy to old age,” said Melissa Pynnonen, M.D., medical director of West Ann Arbor Parkland Plaza. “This new, considerably larger space brings together many of the specialty services a patient may need for comprehensive health care.”
Michigan Medicine, ranked No. 1 in Michigan and No. 6 in the country in U.S. News and World Report’s 2017-18 Best Hospitals rankings, built this facility with the goal of providing high quality health care to a greater number of patients in the Ann Arbor area.
The new state-of-the-art building is exponentially larger than the previous location, spanning 75,000 square feet with 86 exam rooms, four ambulatory diagnostic and treatment unit rooms, 12 infusion bays and radiology services.
Large open spaces help to create a bright environment. Exam rooms are larger than standard to accommodate families and their care teams.
“Michigan Medicine is consistently working to improve patient access and has opened several new facilities to meet patient needs,” said David A. Spahlinger, M.D., executive vice dean for clinical affairs and president of the University of Michigan Health System.
“We are excited by the opportunity to expand our services in Ann Arbor and look forward to working with our new neighbors, including Scio Township community leaders and others in Washtenaw County.
Patients can schedule appointments by calling 734-998-7380. Building hours of operation are Monday-Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
